TRAVEL SAFETY TIPS TO UGANDA.





Before you travel to Uganda there a few things you must know in order to travel safely and enjoy your trip.
1.       Before you travel to Uganda make a deep research about the place or destination you are going to visit like the cost of accommodation, transportation cost including airport pickups and location.
2.       Make photo copies of the travel documents as many as possible and carry them with you wherever you travel to, just to avoid losing the originals.
3.       In case you are coming for a safari trip you will need to pack your own insect repelling skin care products. Especially if camping is one of the activities you are going to do.
4.       Do not forget to pack your medical documents, make photo copies of them and travel with them in case of any emergency you will assisted easily and also carry a fast aid box with you as well.
5.       If you want to do some shopping ask assistance from the hotel manager you will be helped, this will help you save more money because you will not be cheated or made to pay twice the price.
6.       Do not forget to carry anything that has the name of the hotel or resort you are staying at like a business card with you in case you lose your way back the taxi drivers will drive you back safely.
7.       Do not forget to send information back home of the people you are going to be visiting or place. Take photos of the location address and check it out on goggle maps just to be sure of your exact location.
8.       If you plan on enjoying the night life I suggest you go out with some locals this is for safety because of the language barrier communication might not be easy. And do not stay out too long, do not walk alone by yourself at night especially on unfamiliar streets.
9.       Do not trust the people around you too much, yes Ugandans are very hospitable people and jolly as well but this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t keep an eye out, remember where there is good there is evil too.
10.   To save money I suggest you book hotel that give you the allowance to cook for yourself and if you cannot cook buy food at the supermarkets its usually already cooked food.
11.   Do not forget to change your currency into the Ugandan currency and ask for help at the to help you understand the value and worth of the notes and the coins of the Ugandan shilling.
