ENJOY THE INTERVIEW OF B and T AS THEY SAY IT ALL IN DETAIL.
QTN; Are you two related?
ANS; we are not related, we are good friends.

QTN; When did you first meet?
ANS; we first met back in high school, at “Tororo girl’s school” during our advanced level. Betty was in the science class while I Christine was in the arts class.

QTN; Who came up with the idea of starting up a you tube channel?
ANS; Betty… it was Christine, she was the one who came up with the idea of us starting up a you tube channel. I remember I was so hesitant about the whole idea but Christine was determined to go through with it.

QTN; So what inspired you to start up a you tube channel?
ANS; Media is something I have always wanted since childhood and I always wanted to do mass communication. Although I ended up not doing it, at campus I studied Information Technology. I remember reading the news for fellow students back in high school and I also admired television presenters a lot, so this is a dream I have always had to be behind the cameras says Christine.

QTN; When did you start doing you tube professionally?
ANS; It was in 2016 when we started our you tube journey.
QTN; Which television presenter inspired you at the start of your career?
ANS; It was Straka, her personality, colorful hair, great energy and cheerful vibes kept inspiring me.

QTN; When did you get your major breakthrough in your you tube career?
ANS; We got our major breakthrough when we collaborated with Ghanaian you tuber Wade Maya.

QTN; How have you managed to survive in the influencer marketing/you tube industry of Uganda that is new and still growing?
ANS;  It was very had in the beginning because so many Ugandans do not know much about vloggers, Ugandans need to be educated more about the industry and it also required a lot of money, we were called time wasters and advised to quit. But we believe in ourselves and that kept us going.

QTN; Where do you get the money to run the channel?
ANS; We are strong independent ladies who do not depend on men to finance our channel. I Christine have a job I work at and Betty is self-employed as she owns a shoe brand collection. We are hardworking and that’s where we get our money.

QTN; what is the dark side of being a female Ugandan you tuber?
ANS; The lack of knowledge and understanding that people have about vloggers is the dark side, we have been asked to quit and get other things to do because YouTube is not meant for us, we wish people get a better understanding about influencer marketing especially on you tube.

QTN; What is the toughest thing you have had to go through in your career?
ANS; The discouragement we always receive from the people around us who do not believe in us at all, they always try to bring us down by asking questions like, why are you doing this? Do you even earn from YouTube? Aren’t you just wasting your time and energy?

QTN; Which you tubers outside Uganda inspire you?
ANS; We are inspired by the Ghanaian twins, wabosha.m, Joanna k and many others.

QTN; How do you deal with social media bullies?
ANS; We just ignore all the negativity, because we know who we are and we believe in ourselves.

IN CONCLUSION,
Christine and Betty are very nice amazing ladies who are chasing their dreams on you tube. They are not only beautiful, strong, courageous and amazing; they are also kind, jolly, straightforward and go getters. What makes them stand out from other you tubers is the fact that they are willing to learn and they are open to constructive criticism something most people already shut the doors to.
